FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for prevention and correction of bone mineral density reduction in conditions and diseases leading to osteopenia and osteoporosis. Method involves local cryo action on low temperature of liquid nitrogen by means of cryoapplicator, made in form of roller of porous titanium nickelide, on forearm skin surface with its reciprocal movements, wherein pre-cryo-action and local forearm skin temperature is measured by non-contact infrared thermometry and cryotherapy is performed until skin temperature reaches 20–22 °C.
EFFECT: using the invention enables triggering a central mechanism of systemic effect on bone tissue remodeling processes not only in the cryoexposure, but in the whole skeleton.
