FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostics of machines. In the method of estimating power losses in a gearbox of a vehicle, transmission transducers and/or an engine support are fitted with force converters to which a measuring device is connected. Technically serviceable vehicle is accelerated at each gear with maximum acceleration. Peak values of forces on the supports are fixed, these values are summed up, the average is found on the supports for the corresponding gear and is taken as the standard. Dependence of the average value of peak forces on the supports on the included gear is plotted and taken as the control characteristic. During subsequent tests of vehicle under operating conditions, if necessary, engine and clutch are brought to serviceable state, similar tests are performed and dependence of average value of peak forces on supports from included gear is plotted. Obtained characteristic is compared with the reference one, the deviation of forces on the supports from the reference values is determined and the power losses in the gearbox are estimated.
EFFECT: reduced labor input in measurements.
