FIELD: physics; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an alkylation method with an ionic liquid using an existing HF-alkylation unit which comprises a gravity separator and a riser reactor. Method comprises: modifying existing HF-alkylation unit by adding preliminary mixer and low-efficiency pump to paraffin feed line; pre-mixing the paraffin stream with the ion-liquid catalyst stream from said gravity separator in a pre-mixer to form a pre-mixed stream of paraffin and an ion-liquid catalyst; mixing of premixed paraffin flow and ion-liquid catalyst in a low-efficiency pump to form a mixture of paraffin and ion-liquid catalyst, wherein low-efficiency pump produces drops of one or more of paraffin or ion-liquid catalyst; introducing an olefin feed stream into said riser reactor; introducing a mixture of paraffin and an ion-liquid catalyst into a riser reactor to form a reaction mixture containing an alkylate and an ion-liquid catalyst; separation of reaction mixture in said gravity separator into flow of ion-liquid catalyst and flow of hydrocarbons. Invention also relates to modernization of HF-alkylation plant.
EFFECT: method enables to carry out the alkylation method with an ion-liquid catalyst.
