FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of alkylation of isoparaffins. Method includes passing isoparaffin, containing from 4 to 10 carbon atoms, into alkylation reactor; and passing olefin, containing from 2 to 10 carbon atoms, into alkylation reactor, where alkylation reactor functions under conditions of carrying out reaction and contains catalyst in form of phosphonium-based ionic liquid to carry out reaction between olefin and isoparaffin with obtaining alkylate, where phosphonium-based ionic liquid represents quaternary phosphonium halogenaluminate, which contains phosphonium-based organic cation and inorganic anion and possesses structure in form PhR1R2R3R4, where R1, R2 and R3 include identical alkyl groups, containing from 3 to 6 carbon atoms, and alkyl group R4 contains at least 1 carbon atom more than alkyl group R1 and has from 4 to 12 carbon atoms.

EFFECT: application of claimed method makes it possible to carry out reaction at the environment temperature or close to it.
