Video encoder for encoding with prediction of video stream of successive frames according to motion compensation, into encoded bit video stream comprises: frame buffer configured to store at least one reference frame of video stream, wherein said reference frame is different from current frame of video stream, external prediction module, sharpening filter configured to filter prediction block, and an encoding unit configured to generate an encoded bit video stream and to add sharpening filter information of said sharpening filter into the encoded bit stream.
EFFECT: improved encoding/decoding of a video stream of successive frames.
