FIELD: experimental equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental equipment, namely to additional equipment for units implementing Kolsky method with Hopkinson split rod, which provides transfer of compressive load into shear load. Set contains two nozzles intended for placement on the transmitting and supporting rods, and a sample. Each nozzle includes cylindrical part with diameter close to rod diameter, changing into protruding part in direction of cylinder axis, occupying less than half of cross section of cylinder. Protruding part has a through hole for placing a part of the sample, which has the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped with a saw cut along the perimeter dividing it into two parts of equal size. When arranged on impact rods protruding parts of nozzles have symmetrical arrangement relative to cylinder axis with provision of alignment of their through holes.
EFFECT: high quality of conducted experiments (tests) on dynamic compression and shift using simple samples, including high hardness and strength, with possibility of recovery of stress-strain state in working zone of sample.
