VERTICAL SEPARATION VESSEL FOR PROCESS EFFLUENT CATALYSED BY IONIC LIQUID Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B01D17/28 B01D17/25 B01J38/22 B01J8/12

Abstract RU 2696705 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of separating an effluent stream which contains a mixture of hydrocarbons and an ionic liquid after alkylation processes, as well as a separation zone for its implementation. Separating zone for separation of hydrocarbon phase and phase of ionic liquid under the invention includes vertically oriented vessel having outlet pipe for ionic liquid flow, outlet branch pipe for output hydrocarbon flow and inlet branch pipe for outlet flow, as well as at least one element for distribution of ionic liquid, placed in separation vessel between outlet branch pipe for outlet hydrocarbon flow and inlet branch pipe for outlet flow, wherein the ionic liquid distribution element is configured to pass the fluid moving upward flow, through the ionic liquid distribution member and contacting the ionic liquid, as well as a line configured to pass ionic liquid into the separation vessel above the ionic liquid distribution element, and a pump configured to pass the ionic liquid flow from the separation zone into the reaction zone.

EFFECT: this configuration of the separation zone and method of separating a stream containing a mixture of hydrocarbons and an ionic liquid enables high-efficiency separation of the effluent containing ionic liquid.
