FIELD: cracking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for fluid catalytic cracking, including the stages of passing a stream of hydrocarbon raw materials and a catalyst upward in the riser during the catalytic conversion of said hydrocarbon raw materials into hydrocarbon products; directing said stream downwards in the downflow zone during the catalytic conversion of said hydrocarbon raw materials into hydrocarbon products, resulting in a stream of gaseous hydrocarbon products and a catalyst; directing said stream of gaseous hydrocarbon products and the catalyst from said downflow zone through a curved channel to pass in an angular direction in order to separate said gaseous hydrocarbon products from said catalyst. Invention also relates to an apparatus for fluid catalytic cracking.
EFFECT: efficient and rational design intended to prolong the time of containment of the raw materials in the riser.
