FIELD: methods and devices for metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filler feed wire for additive production, device for additive production and additive production method. Filler wire (20) includes element (26) supplying laser radiation, and filler material (22) passing along wire length. Energy (30) of laser radiation is directed to proximal end (32) of element supplying laser radiation, for melting of distal end (34) of supplied wire for formation of bath (24) of melt for additive production or repair. Element supplying laser radiation can serve as a flux.
EFFECT: thus, the laser radiation energy is supplied exactly to the distal end of the supplied wire, which eliminates the need for separate coordination of movement of the laser beam with movement of the supplied wire.
