SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petrochemical industry, particularly, to lubricants used in friction assemblies of machines and mechanisms operated in conditions of Far North and Arctic regions. Disclosed is a low-temperature grease, including a base oil and a thickener, which as a thickener contains microcrystalline cellulose and organomodified clay, with the following ratio of components, wt%: microcrystalline cellulose – 10–30, organomodified clay – 10–30, base oil – balance. According to the invention, the base oil is an ester with two or three ester groups.

EFFECT: obtaining low-temperature grease based on non-toxic components and as a result, high environmental friendliness and safety, widening of application temperature range to (-50)–(+150) °C.
