FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain synthetic polycrystalline diamonds. The method of detonation synthesis of polycrystalline diamond includes obtaining a primary product from a high-energy explosive - hexogen and/or octogene and a carbon-containing component - colloidal graphite or soot. The primary product additionally contains TNT with the following ratio of components, wt. %: TNT - 40-50, octogene and/or hexogen - 40-50, colloidal graphite or soot - 5-12. Detonation synthesis is carried out in an explosion chamber.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a detonation polycrystalline diamond (DPD), which has denser packing of aggregates and increased average dimensions, greater rigidity and durability during operation.
