FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of magnetic-abrasive powder. Mixture containing powders of titanium, cobalt and boron is prepared, with the following ratio of components, wt%: 13.8–27.6 Ti, 55.2–73.6 Co, 12.6–17.2 B. Prepared mixture of packed density is placed in the reactor and its thermal treatment is carried out in self-propagating high-temperature synthesis mode.
EFFECT: higher quality of magnetic-abrasive powder.
