FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: exhaust noise silencer of internal combustion engine exhaust is designed to reduce sound of exhaust gases, in particular, engines of trucks and cars. Housing with end walls comprises inlet and outlet perforated bypass tubes with perforated holes on side surfaces. Inside the housing there is a partition with formation of two expansion chambers. There is an additional perforated bypass tube with perforated holes passing through both expansion chambers built in between end walls of the housing. Inlet and outlet bypass pipes are located coaxially and separated by a partition. Additional bypass tube and coaxial inlet and outlet bypass tubes are located in parallel and on opposite sides from axis of symmetry of housing. Perforation holes on the additional bypass tube and at the inlet and outlet bypass tubes are located on the opposite side surfaces.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of exhaust noise damping.
