FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: grinding wheel has cup or plate shape and working surface formed by alternating protrusions and cavities. The latter are arranged in the form of radial slots that have shape of isosceles trapezoid in axial direction, larger base of which is located from the side of wheel working face. Slots are filled with hard lubricant material. Depth of radial slots make ls1=Hw-hw, where Hw is wheel height, mm; hw is length of wheel seat opening, mm. Depth ls2 of every second slot is less than depth ls1 of precedent slot by 50%.
EFFECT: increased resource of composite wheels operation to complete wear due to stabilisation of resistance period with reduction of its hardness along height of working layer.
