SUBSTANCE: method of producing a compound of formula 2 by fluorination of a double bond which includes formation of a reaction mixture containing a solvent, fluoride gas and a compound of formula 1 , where R1 is alkoxy to form a compound of formula 2 , where R2 is alkoxy, and to form fluoromethyl 2,3-difluoropropanoate, methyl 2,3,3-trifluoro-trifluoropropanoate, fluoromethyl 2,3,3-trifluoropropanoate, or combinations thereof, wherein the hydrofluorocarbon solvent is 2H, 3H-decafluoropentane, eicosafluorononane, tetradecafluorohexane, tetradecafluoro-2-methylpentane, hexafluorobenzene, octadecafluorodecahydronaphthalene, octadecafluorooctane, octafluorocyclopentene, octafluorotoluene, perfluoro(1,3-dimethylcyclohexane), perfluoroheptane, perfluoro (2-butyltetrahydrofuran), perfluorotriethylamine, heptacosafluorotributylamine, tetradecafluoromethylcyclohexane, 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorobutane or a combination thereof.
