FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control circuits of fuel feed pump of internal combustion engine, which consist in periodic supply of current pulses to fuel feed pump based on a number of predefined parameters. Disclosed are methods of controlling fuel feed pump (130) configured to supply fuel under pressure to direct injection fuel pump (140), which is configured to further inject fuel for multiple injectors (120) of direct injection. To ensure reliable and stable operation of fuel priming pump control algorithms are required, according to which selective supply of current to the pump is provided with simultaneous optimization of power consumption. In order to maintain the fuel feed pump operation in the required range, methods are proposed, in accordance with which current is supplied to the fuel feed pump in pulse mode and when the presence of fuel vapors is detected at the inlet of the fuel injection pump, the current supply mode is switched to continuous.

EFFECT: reliable and stable operation of fuel feed pump, reduced power consumption.
