FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: use for ultrasonic nondestructive testing. Summary of invention consists in the fact that flaw detector with several independent channels, by means of ultrasonic antenna array (AA) emits and receives ultrasonic vibrations, digitizes them and generates image in form of sector, wherein AA elements are divided into groups with number of elements equal to number of independent channels of flaw detector, radiation and reception are performed so that each group of AA elements sequentially emits and receives echo signals in accordance with previously calculated delays, then echo signals recorded in each of the measurements are coherently folded, the envelope is calculated and the final image in the form of a sector is formed.
EFFECT: possibility of using ultrasonic inspection by phased antenna array using flaw detector with number of independent channels for radiation and reception smaller than the number of piezoelectric elements AA without deterioration of quality of control results.
