FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: two antenna arrays are placed on the surface of the monitored product at the optimal distance between themselves on both sides of the weld junction, ultrasonic echo pulses reflected from the bottom surface are recorded, a number of partial images are reconstructed, a profile image of the bottom surface is obtained, by which a table of thickness values of the monitored product at each point of the recovery area is identified.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining the product interior profile.
