FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. A method of controlling the presence of pseudoexfoliation material in patients with cataract and glaucoma with pseudoexfoliation syndrome involves detecting pseudoexfoliation material in an angle of an anterior eye chamber under the control of gonolinase for further removal thereof. Detection of pseudoexfoliation material in angle of anterior eye chamber is performed intraoperatively at irrigation stage – aspiration of crystalline mass before trabecicular separation. That is ensured by administering trypan blue solution which stains the pseudoexfoliating material into the anterior eye chamber. Then dye is washed out, and front chamber is filled with viscoelastic and goniolinse is used to examine angle of anterior eye chamber to presence of colored pseudoexfoliating material, which is removed during trabecicular separation. Further, the pseudoexfoliating material is repainted.
EFFECT: improved visualization of the pseudoexfoliation material, the location of which will be well defined, which will allow the most complete removal of the pseudoexfoliation material during trabeculoclining during the phacoemulsification of cataract.
