FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for assessing the state of an anterior chamber angle on the presence of pigment granules and pseudoexfoliation material in an angle of an anterior eye chamber in cataract and glaucoma patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome comprising detecting pigment granules and pseudoexfoliation material in an angle of an anterior eye chamber, for this purpose, prior to trabeculocleaning, a solution of trypan blue, which stains pseudoexfoliating material, is intraoperatively introduced into an anterior eye chamber. After that, dye is washed out, and front chamber is filled with viscoelastic and goniolens is used to inspect angle of anterior eye chamber on presence of pigment granules and colored pseudoexfoliating material. Phacoemulsification of cataract is continued until completion, during which trabeculocleaning is performed. Detection of pseudoexfoliation material in angle of anterior eye chamber is performed twice at the beginning of cataract phacoemulsification operation after corneal incision before trabeculocleaning and after trabeculocleaning intraoperatively at irrigation stage – aspiration of crystalline mass. Each time after goniolens of the angle of the anterior eye chamber is examined for presence of pigment granules and pseudoexfoliation material, the angle of the anterior chamber is recorded. Using the Paint graphical editor and obtained photographic readings of the anterior chamber angle, a comparative colorimetric assessment of the anterior chamber angle condition before and after trabeculocleaning is carried out by determining colorimetric analysis values R, G, B of similar zones to be compared. If the degree of pigmentation of the angle of the anterior chamber is reduced, the angle of the anterior eye chamber is cleaned from the pigment granules and the pseudoexfoliating material.
EFFECT: invention provides an objective assessment of the degree of coloration of the examined area before and after the intervention, which is an indicator of purification of the zone from pseudoexfoliation material and pigment granules.
