FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building, particularly, to engines operating with air enrichment with oxygen or using oxygen as an oxidiser together with atmospheric air. Essence of invention consists in that combustion process of working mixture is carried out in external combustion chamber, which is connected with engine cylinder by the moment of piston approach to TDC. Due to the energy of the combustion products, the first stroke is performed – the piston working stroke from the TDC to the BDC, and when the piston approaches the BDC, the exhaust valve is opened, the external combustion chamber is switched off from the cylinder and the second cycle is performed – exhaust of the exhaust gases, during which fuel is injected into external combustion chamber, its evaporation due to chamber heat and injection of a portion of gaseous oxygen, which is accompanied by ignition and isochoric combustion of the working mixture, which is completed by the end of the second cycle. At that, depending on the engine operation mode, oxygen and fuel doses supplied to the external chamber are regulated, providing optimum economic and ecological parameters and safety of the engine operation.
EFFECT: increasing economy and environmental efficiency in a wide range of load variation.
