FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices intended for tight sealing of defects, for example, cracks, chips, located on outer deformed cylindrical surface of articles. Proposed device comprises two brackets with lengthwise and crosswise grooves. Brackets are installed on fastening devices located on both sides of the defect and consisting of arc-shaped brackets having on external arc-shaped surface several groups of fastening holes, loops hinged to brackets by means of axes and rigidly fixed by means of fasteners with adapters. Adapters are connected with elements available on cylindrical surface of article, designed for lifting or mooring. Frame is fixed on brackets. Clamping bolts are installed on frame end surface. Cover is placed under the frame by means of guide pins installed on the flat surface of the cover. In the flanging facing the article there is a groove for the sealing element, which repeats the contour of the deformed surface of the product around the defect area.

EFFECT: reliable localization of the defect in the form of a crack on the outer surface of the deformed cylindrical surface of the article.
