FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machining of materials and can be used in structures of assembly milling tool. Cutting insert of the tool has the main body, at least one cutting element protruding from the periphery of the main body and comprises a cutting edge and a hole in the main body. On the lower side extending across the longitudinal axis, there are multiple projections located in the peripheral direction and projecting from the lower side of the main body with formation of the recess between the projections. Cutting insert comprises at least one radial contact surface, multiple axial contact surfaces and multiple torque transmission surfaces for cutting insert bearing contact with tool holder.
EFFECT: transmission of high torque during circular milling without loss of processing stability.
