FIELD: processes and equipment for metal continuous casting.
SUBSTANCE: deflection cover plate includes supporting plate with deflection surface surrounded at least partially by means of lateral wall having passages. Cover plate is designed for receiving and deflecting inlet flow of melt metal. Deflected flow of melt metal outlets through passage and open upper surface of cover plate. Stepped-roof constructions surrounding passages and(or) similar to water drain structure of wall provide splitting and distributing of outlet metal flow.
EFFECT: lowered turbulence in surface of melt metal, effective separation of non-metallic inclusions from melt metal.
