METHOD FOR INSTALLATION OF ORTHODONTIC APPARATUS, TEMPLATE AND ORTHODONTIC APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61C7/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, specifically to orthodontic dentistry, and is intended for use in complex treatment of patients with tooth-jaw system abnormalities using an orthodontic apparatus installed by means of orthodontic microimplants – micro-rotors, mini-screws, screws for temporary cortical support. Initial data are obtained, namely a computer tomogram, casts, a model of jaws, as well as a standard size of the installed microimplants. Gypsum models are molded by casts and scanned to produce 3D model of patient's jaw. Computer tomography and 3D model of patient's jaw are aligned. Proceeding from anatomy and shape of palate, selection of microimplant entry points into mucous membrane on 3D model of patient's jaw. Microimplant position is plotted in the selected points taking into account their inclination and insertion depth. Correctness of the selected location of microimplants is checked by computer tomography. Based on the obtained data, a template is prepared to introduce microimplants for the subsequent installation of the orthodontic apparatus.

EFFECT: invention enables higher accuracy and direction of insertion of microimplants for subsequent installation of an orthodontic apparatus on them, reduced number of patient's visits to a doctor.
