METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING AND TREATING PATIENTS WITH VARIOUS FORMS OF GNATHIC OCCLUSION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61C8/00

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for diagnosis and treatment of patients with various forms of gnathic occlusion and fixation of intermaxillary ratio in horizontal, vertical and transversal planes when performing operations on the upper and/or lower jaw. Method for diagnosing and treating patients with gnathic forms of occlusion involves using a splint, design of which allows pre-marking places for placing microimplants (miniscrews) and during the operation to perform accurate installation of microimplants in pre-planned points without injuring the roots of teeth and facial nerve. When performing the operation, the surgeon performs accurate installation of the microimplant in area of 14–15, 24–25, 36–37, 46–47 teeth, prevention of ingress of microimplant body (self-tapping thread and sharp edge for drilling) into roots, increased accuracy of mini-screws installation, as well as reduced traumatism.

EFFECT: proposed method provides safe installation of microimplants.
