METHOD FOR INCREASING THE CONSCIOUSNESS LEVEL OF PATIENTS WITH LONG-TERM CONSCIOUSNESS DISORDERS BY CRANIOCEREBRAL HYPOTHERMIA Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/01 A61M21/00 A61F7/00

Abstract RU 2698217 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to neuroreanimation for treating patients in different stages of consciousness preservation. Method for increasing the level of consciousness in patients with prolonged impaired consciousness involves determining the temperature of the cerebral hemisphere of the cerebrum by recording the intrinsic electromagnetic radiation of deep tissues in the microwave range from 2 to 7 GHz at depth of 4–7 cm from the skin surface in 18 points, 9 in each hemisphere corresponding to the Kleist neurophysiological map, and calculating temperature values in said points, determining maximum temperature difference ΔT between warmer and cold regions of the cerebral hemisphere bark, followed by making a decision on correction of cerebral temperature disturbances by craniocerebral hypothermia sessions with duration of 60–120 minutes, wherein craniocerebral hypothermia sessions are daily, cerebral cortex points are additionally measured immediately after a craniocerebral hypothermia session and every 15 minutes after a craniocerebral hypothermia session until the initial cerebral temperature returns, dynamics of neurological status change is recorded by determining a level of temperature heterogeneity, with increase in temperature difference ΔT bark of the cerebral hemispheres by at least 1.2 °C and higher level of consciousness of the patient from the vegetative state to the level of minimal, small or clear consciousness, additional daily procedures of craniocerebral hypothermia are performed, after which the course is completed.

EFFECT: using the invention enables improving the patient's neurological status.
