FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of 3D articles (structures) from diamond: jaws, porous structures of complex shape, and can be used in solid-state electronics for production of heat sinks, emission electrodes and high-voltage insulators, in heat engineering when designing efficient heat exchangers, in biology and medicine in making filters and membranes. Method of obtaining bulk diamond structures from diamond powder includes filling with diamond powder of refractory shell, made in form of a given volume structure and having through holes, placing it in a gas mixture containing hydrocarbons and hydrogen, heating them to temperature in the range from the beginning of decomposition of hydrocarbons into radicals and molecular hydrogen to atomic hydrogen before diamond graphitization, pumping of gas mixture through holes in shell through diamond powder until formation of stable bonds between contacting particles of diamond powder.

EFFECT: technical result is intensified penetration of radicals of hydrocarbons and atomic hydrogen deep into volume of diamond powder, and at greater depth, which increases efficiency and enables to form stable bonds between contacting particles and obtain a single structure of diamond powder.
