FIELD: environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and apparatus for monitoring the state of the environment. Method of analyzing organic substances in soil involves direct spectral measurement of the mass fraction of humic substances by determining the intensity of reflection of a light wave in three ranges: 1,610–1,640 cm-1, 3,300–3,500 cm-1 and 2,800–3,100 cm-1 and constructing a calibration model using multi-dimensional analysis methods based on soil spectrum obtained in the working area and presented in numerical form.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy of measurements in field conditions.
