SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric dehydrators for oil dehydration and desalination and oil products purification. Modernization method electric dehydrator includes dismantling of structural elements located inside the housing of the device, removal of dismantled structural elements from the internal space through manholes, arrangement of fastening and supporting structures in the internal space of the device. Guide elements for assembly of electrodes are mounted on fastening structures and suspension insulators are suspended. B electric dehydrator Prefabricated elements of the new three-row metal or vertical composite electrode system are placed through manholes, collecting elements of the header system for input and output of oil, for water inlet and outlet, for removal of the intermediate layer and washout of the sludge residue. Final assembly and arrangement of prefabricated elements is performed inside electric dehydrator, are installed along the whole electric dehydrator in its lower part protectors for protection of internal surface of electric dehydrator from corrosion, in available or additionally welded pipes in upper outer part of electric dehydrator installing at least two switches of gas cap, and in lower outer part – not less than two level meters of interphase water-oil level. Stationary or flexible type high-voltage input unit with feedthrough insulator connected to explosion-proof high-voltage power supply is placed on existing or additionally welded branch pipes, electric dehydrator additionally equipped with local control panel and automation system for control and operation parameters control of electric dehydrator and power supply source.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, efficiency and reliability of the electric dehydrator, as well as provision of explosion safety.
