FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric devices for dehydration and desalting of oil and can be used in the oil-producing and oil-refining industries. The electric dehydrator includes a housing, an inlet connection and a raw material distribution manifold, marketable oil outlet and water drainage connections, a high-voltage power supply, a high-voltage input unit and a system of alternating potential and grounded electrodes. Potential electrodes are made in the form of grids of vertical tubular elements made of a static resistive composite material with a given nonlinear electrical conductivity. Grounded electrodes are made in the form of grids of horizontal tubular or rod elements. The electric dehydrator is powered by a unipolar pulse voltage, while positive pulses are applied to the composite electrodes, the metal electrodes are grounded, and the parameters of the pulse voltage are: adjustable pulse amplitude from 17 to 35 kV, duration from 3 to 7 ms, duty cycle from 3 to 9.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of oil demulsification process, reduced energy consumption for its implementation, increased reliability and longer overhaul period of inter-repair operations of electric dehydrator.
