INSULATION SYSTEM IN ROAD CONDITIONS OF INSTALLATION JOINTS OF ADJACENT PIPELINES WITH INSULATING COATING Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC F16L59/20

Abstract RU 2699152 C2

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction and repair of pipelines under route conditions and is intended for insulation of butt joints of adjacent pipelines with insulating coating. Insulation system in route conditions of adjacent joints with insulating coating comprises series of layers of insulating materials in cavity formed in zone of mounting joint on end sections of adjacent pipelines. First layer is made of bituminous and mastic materials, the next one is made from foamed filler formed at input of its components through protective enveloping end sections of adjacent pipelines and a composite shape fixed on them. Composite mold is formed by a plate, which is made of series-connected layers, one of which is made of a web formed by glass and/or polyester threads, or from polyester or polypropylene-based nonwoven web and forms inner surface of mold relative to mounting joint. Other layer of the plate is formed by an extruded polymer sheet and forms an external surface of the mold. Thickness "h1" of extruded sheet to thickness "h" of the web have ratio h1/ h = 1÷11 at total thickness "H" of plate forming composite shape equal to 1.8÷12 (mm).

EFFECT: insulation system for mounting joints of adjacent pipelines has high operational reliability in conditions of high humidity and temperatures.
