FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ultrasonic diagnostics. Varicose veins of the small pelvis are diagnosed in transvaginal ultrasound by determining the diameter of the main pelvic venous basins: uterine, ovarian, arcuate and internal iliac veins. Diameters and blood flow rate of the left renal vein between the aorta and the superior mesenteric artery are measured distally and the diameter, blood flow velocity and valvular insufficiency of the ovarian veins and vein of the pelvic organs are determined: uterine, uviform, arcuate plexus. Angle between the aorta and the superior mesenteric artery is measured, and an inferior hollow and iliac vein is inspected for patency. Compression of the left iliac vein is excluded, in a vertical position veins of a perineum, vulva, internal surface of a hip and gluteal region are investigated.

EFFECT: method enables to examine all necessary veins of the small pelvis, perform measurement of their diameters and detect valvular insufficiency, pre-detect etiological factors, which improves accuracy of diagnostic results, thus, the results obtained with observing the actions of the method, in particular assessment of blood flow velocity and valve insufficiency of ovarian veins, pelvic vein veins: uterine, uviform, arcuate plexuses allowed to objectively verify or exclude varicose veins of the pelvis, as well as to dynamically evaluate the results of conservative and surgical treatment of the given disease.
