SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used for ultrasonic examination of pelvic veins in stenosis and obstruction of left common iliac vein in patients with varicose vein disease. That is ensured by measuring the left common iliac vein if its diameter between the right common iliac artery and vertebra is narrowed by more than 50 % compared to the diameter between the left common iliac artery and vertebral column, blood flow in the left iliac vein is accelerated more than 80 cm/s, diameter of the left external iliac vein is more by 40–45 % in comparison with the right, gonadal veins of a small basin, gonadal veins and veins of external genitals are expanded, that the stenosis of the left common iliac vein is determined. If the left common iliac vein does not locate, a retrograde wave is detected on the Dopplerogram in the left internal iliac vein in the Valsalva respiratory sample, vein dilatation of the pelvic organs, gonadal veins and veins of the external genital organs is determined, and an obstruction of the left common iliac vein is determined.

EFFECT: invention enables diagnosing stenosis or obstruction of left common iliac vein in said patients.
