FIELD: ventilation.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to control of air quality and air cleaning in response to possible changes in air quality. Air quality control system comprises a sensor configured to detect operation of the mechanism within or on the boundary of the medium inside the room, wherein the mechanism is external with respect to the air purifier, connected to the medium inside the room; constant memory for storing data on medium inside the room, recorded by sensor; a controller coupled to the sensor, wherein the controller is configured to collect data in the air quality profile associated with said medium; determining, based on the signal from said sensor and based on the air quality profile, the probability that the operation of the mechanism will cause the result that the air quality measurement result within the indoor environment will not satisfy one or more air quality criteria; and selective delivery, based on said probability, indicating that operation of mechanism will cause that air quality measurement result within environment inside room will not meet said one or more air quality criteria.

EFFECT: this allows preventing periods of time with unacceptable air quality.
