SUBSTANCE: invention relates to press for casting machine and to foundry machine containing said press. Press comprises fixed main plate and upper frame and movable mounting plate. In angular areas of plates and upper frame there are two front and two rear posts. Stands pass through corresponding through holes in movable mounting plate and serve for its direction during movement. Posts are fixed on the main plate and fixed upper frame. It is possible to disconnect front posts from the main plate and upper frame and to move relative to them and mounting plate with provision of at least partial displacement of front posts outside beyond the area between the main and mounting plates. Provided is tension mechanism for creation of tension force at raised front posts, which compensates inclination of upper frame relative to main plate.

EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to insert molds of whatever width or length into the area between the main plate and the movable mounting plate and to withdraw them from said area.
