FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling, particularly, to rolling strips and sheets. Quarto rolling stand includes working and support rolls with cushions and displacement of axes of working rolls relative to axis of support rolls. Raising flatness of rolled stock by creating a deformation area with internal longitudinal stresses of tension is ensured by that axes of working rolls are offset relative to axis of support rolls in opposite directions.
EFFECT: proposed design of rolling stand "quarto" reduces number of breakdowns of rolling bearings of rolls of working rolls, reduced power and strength parameters of rolling, improved flatness of strips and increased accuracy of thickness of rolled strips.
