FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology. Disclosed is a microorganism transformed with a polynucleotide coding a protein having lysine decarboxylase activity, comprising the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1 or amino acid sequence homologous by at least 75 % of this sequence, for protein expression, having lysine decarboxylase activity, wherein the protein having lysine decarboxylase activity is derived from Pseudomonas sp. and the microorganism is Escherichia sp microorganism. Disclosed is a microorganism which is capable of producing cadaverine, wherein the microorganism has an improved ability to produce lysine as compared to the wild type and is transformed with a polynucleotide encoding a protein having lysine decarboxylase activity, comprising the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1 or amino acid sequence homologous by at least 75 % of this sequence, for expression of protein, having lysine decarboxylase activity, wherein the protein exhibiting lysine decarboxylase activity is derived from Pseudomonas sp. and the microorganism is Escherichia sp microorganism. Disclosed are embodiments of a method of producing cadaverine using said microorganisms.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to reduce costs for production of cadaverine by bioconversion of lysine.
