FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental oncology, pharmacology, and can be used for prediction of risk of liver cancer in conditions of experimental carcinogenesis of liver. Blood is collected from a biological object, blood counts are examined, and a risk of developing cancer is determined. Biological object – rat daily for 4 months together with drinking water is introduced N-nitrosodiethylamine in dose of 100 mg/l. Three months after the beginning of experimental carcinogenesis, blood is sampled with subsequent determination of biochemical values of alanine aminotransferase (AlAT), aspartate aminotransferase (AsAT), osmotic resistance of erythrocyte membranes, malonic dialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD). Obtained data is added to formula LC=-118.772+(20.7086xA)+(2.59479xB)+(2.63444xC)+(0.943407xD)-(1.00467xE), where: LC – liver cancer (%), A – AsAT (Unit/l), B – AlAT (Unit/l), C – osmotic resistance of erythrocyte membranes (% haemolysis), D – MDA (Mmol/l), E – SOD (%). According to the obtained result, the risk of developing liver cancer in a specific animal is evaluated: from 0 to 30 % – low risk, from 30 to 60 % – moderate risk, from 60 to 100 % – high risk.
EFFECT: method enables early detection of liver cancer in a rat in experimental carcinogenesis as a result of introducing biochemical blood values into a formula by which the probability of developing liver cancer in a specific animal is calculated.
