FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thoracic surgery. Detecting the patient's pulmonary tissue rupture depth (R), propagation of pulmonary tissue contusion (C). At that, rupture of visceral pleura and surface layer of lung is evaluated as R1, rupture of visceral pleura and lung tissue to intermediate or root layer as R2, rupture and formation of an intrapulmonary hematoma or a pneumatic haematocoelus with diameter of up to 5 cm with integrity of the visceral pleura as R3, rupture and formation of an intrapulmonary hematoma or a pneumatic haematocoelis of more than 5 cm in diameter with preservation of integrity of the visceral pleura as R4. A contusion of one or two bronchopulmonary segments is evaluated as C1, contusion of three - five segments as C2, bruise spread over more than half of the lung as C3. If observing R1 in combination with C1-3, videotorachoscopy and/or closed drainage of pleural cavity is indicated. If observing R2 or R4 with C1-3, urgent surgical treatment is required through thoracotomy. If observing R3 and/or C1-3, conservative treatment is performed - bronchoscopic sanitation and respiratory support.

EFFECT: method enables specifying a clinical diagnosis and optimizing a closed bronchopulmonary injury treatment plan by detecting and evaluating a complex of the most significant descriptors.
