FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling traction system of vehicles with electric traction. Electric locomotive transmission control method consists in the following. Rotation frequency of the shaft of thermal engines is set, which drives auxiliary and main alternating current generators. Voltages of high-voltage windings of auxiliary generators are straightened and supplied through smoothing filters for power supply of passenger cars connected with diesel locomotives. Output voltage of low-voltage windings of auxiliary generators is fed via controlled rectifiers to excitation windings of main and auxiliary generators. Output voltages of the auxiliary generators low-voltage windings are controlled as a function of their rotational speed. Load currents of high-voltage rectifiers of each locomotive are measured; then measured currents are compared to each other and at value of current spreading above preset threshold corrected preset voltage of low-voltage windings of auxiliary generators of both locomotives.

EFFECT: providing uniform load of auxiliary generators of two diesel locomotives at parallel connection of their high-voltage rectifiers to passenger train.
