FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geology and mining and can be used in geological investigation and study of tailings, lixiviation dumps, other massifs, folded based on finely crushed and/or crushed mineral masses, including chemically hazardous products. Method involves drilling a well, lowering a video camera into the well, visual inspection of the well wall. At that, the well is cased, simultaneously with the video camera the device for mechanical sampling of loose bulk material is lowered into the well, wherein the device is lowered to the wellhead of the casing pipe, the casing pipe is gradually removed, and during the well wall visual inspection, the well wall area is selected for sampling the material and coordinates of the selected area of the well wall are fixed, material is sampled from selected area of well wall, extracted sample of material is extracted from well and laboratory tests are performed.

EFFECT: wider range of research capabilities during geological study of tailings, high safety and reliability of obtained information on their structure that is obtaining reliable scientific data on structure of tailings.
