FIELD: radiography.

SUBSTANCE: use: for radiographic control of macrostructure of axially symmetric annular welded joints of welded tubular elements. Summary of invention consists in the fact that radiographic, as well as registration γ-radiation, having information on the macrostructure of the monitored object, an X-ray film in the light-protective cartridge, contact-resistant to the end surface of the welded tubular member, is made from deeper and equidistant relative to external annular welded joint of certain point of its inner cavity fan system radially oriented relative to welded joint in polar coordinate system of rotary-scanning pyramid-slotted bundles γ-radiation, part of which adaptively compensates for the weakening caused by the exponential law (I = I0 e-μx) imbalance of levels of detected penetrating flows γ-radiation during passage of barrier of variable thickness, proportional to the formalized analytical law of variation of the radiation thicknesses of the welded joint depending on the angular parameter in the polar coordinate system in a given form.

EFFECT: technical result is improved reliability of detection of defects detected by film detector in radiographic method of control of macrostructure of axially symmetric annular welded joints of welded tubular elements.
