SUBSTANCE: method includes illuminating an annular weld joint from the inside with an ionising radiation source and recording the macrostructure of the joint with a circular annular X-ray film placed on the outer side of the object in the corresponding volume of a light-protective case with a detachable cover, equipped with a centering bushing of a compensator, the through-hole of which matches the diameter of the radiator placed in the inspection area, wherein radiation flux bearing information on the macrostructure is detected by scanning through a mesh disc adjoining to the blind end of the case and made of radiation-proof material with thickness of up to 3 mm with the possibility of torsional vibrations with amplitude of not less than 30° or rotation about the axis of the light-protective case with angular speed of 1-2 s-1, said disc being perforated by end-to-end hexagonal openings concentrically and regularly relative to its geometrical axis, the axes of said openings crossing the geometric axis of the disc at a focal point lying 40 mm from the outer face of the disc in the inner cavity of the object under inspection, and separation cross-pieces between the openings are not longer than 0.5 mm with the minimum size of the hexagonal openings of up to 2 mm on the inscribed inner diameter.
EFFECT: high quality of images obtained in conditions with generation of scattered radiation flux by structural elements of a complex inspection system.
