FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test equipment, and more specifically to throwing plates by explosion. Method of throwing plate by explosion involves initiation of explosive charge (EC) and formation of high pressure area propagating from thrust and acting on whole plate. Explosive charge is placed in contact with at least one anvil adjoining both the edge of the explosive charge orthogonal to its initiation surface and the propellant plate separated from the explosive charge by a gap. In the gap there created is an additional high pressure area acting locally at the periphery of the thrown plate. Plate throwing device comprises explosive charge and, at least, one stop adjoining both explosive charge edge orthogonal to its initiation surface and to propellant plate separated from explosive charge by gap. In the gap in contact with at least one stop and a thrown plate, there is a reflector of shock waves made of material with acoustic rigidity higher than that of the material of the missile plate, in the direction towards the periphery of the thrown plate.
EFFECT: reduced deformation of plate.
