FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental physics and can be used for study of high-speed interaction of bodies. Method involves initiation of axially symmetric tubular explosive charge (EC), formation of cumulative jet under impact of Mach shock wave, followed by extraction of compact element from it. Two surfaces of shock wave (SW) are created during formation of Mach shock wave, which move at different angles in relation to axis of charge, wherein SW surface inclination angle is greater at charge axis than that on its periphery. Cumulative casting device in compliance, according to first version, comprises axially symmetric tubular explosive charge with coaxially installed insert inside it, initiation device with initiation points, arranged in circle on external side surface of EC, axial cumulative recess in form of hemisphere-cylinder. Insert is made in form of solid cylinder with axial conical groove on side of initiation device, inside groove conical insert is placed, acoustic stiffness of which is greater than acoustic stiffness of insert, directed with its top in direction of casting, and axial charge recess in form of hemisphere-cylinder is made on outer end of metal disc, fastened on free end surface of EC. In second version of proposed device charge recess is made in insert on side of free end surface of EC and it is coated with metal.
EFFECT: invention enables research of high-speed interaction of cumulative element with obstacles in wide range of speeds.
