FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for thermal treatment of metals and can be used for production of wear-resistant structures when making working elements of tillage tools from high-strength cast iron HC50. Tool surface is subjected to laser action with beam power P = 2.1 kW and with coverage coefficient of laser beam spot 0.3. Treatment is carried out by multichannel CO2-laser with continuous operation mode. Diameter of the laser beam spot in the treatment zone is equal to d = 9 mm. Movement speed υ= 480 mm/s.
EFFECT: technical result consists in production of pure bleached layer of high hardness with depth of 0,16 mm.
