FIELD: rescue service; fire fighting means.

SUBSTANCE: method of assisting a passenger of a vehicle in a traffic accident involves the following steps: detecting a vehicle emergency condition; activation of a camera or sensor for measuring physiological state and collecting physiological data of a passenger; recording collected physiological data; and transmitting message containing them to remote data collection server via telematic control unit installed in vehicle. Collection of physiological data is carried out repeatedly at regular intervals starting from the moment of detection of emergency state of the vehicle. Message is transmitted for a predetermined period of time after the traffic accident and automatically after each recording of physiological data collected during data collection. Preset period of time corresponds to the average time required for the mobile ambulance crew to arrive at the scene of the traffic accident.

EFFECT: mobile first aid brigade may determine in advance the priority assistance to be provided to passengers in a vehicle accident, depending on their respective physiological state.
