SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a retention suture and a method for production thereof, the method comprising: a first step of heating the semi-finished product of the suture in a predetermined temperature range; a second step, in which a retention suture semi-product heated at a first step is reduced for direct compression; the third stage, at which formation of linear incisions on the first edge and the second edge of the pressed suture material produced at the second stage, with subsequent formation of a tooth portion by applying a stretching force to the extruded suture material having linear notches, wherein the linear incisions on the first edge and the second edge are made continuously at a given distance from each other with a given angle of inclination in one direction or in different directions.
EFFECT: retention suture is obtained, which improves tissue regeneration in the suture region, excellent support of the quasi-continuous lifting effect, and also has excellent strength.
