FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in processing oil and associated oil gases. Method of decomposition of hydrogen into hydrogen and sulfur involves treatment of aqueous solution of hydrogen sulphide with a magnetic field. Aqueous solution of hydrogen sulphide is treated with a magnetic field such that the treated liquid passes through opposite streams of magnetic field lines. Separated sulfur atoms are crystallized into elemental sulfur in laminar flow of solution.
EFFECT: invention widens the range of methods for producing sulfur and hydrogen from hydrogen sulphide.
